Dab - the smallest representative of the family of flatfish . Its length rarely exceeds 30 cm . The upper side dab sandy- brown color , and the bottom - creamy- white . The lateral line , which stretches from the tail to the gills has a curvature in the head . Also back surface is rather rough to the touch.
This fish has a white and dense meat. The feeding with crabs, mollusks and seaweed affected to the taste of fish.
