Vernis have a very nice smooth shell. Brown color shell with white meat. They lives in the fine gravel or sand , their geography widen from the British Isles and to the shores of the Mediterranean.
Dense meat make this mollusks really tasty. Nowadays it is really popular in Europe where for cooking wide variety of dishes. But the gourmets prefer it raw.
